20 players left in 2 tables.  Table 25 seat 2 JojoT seat 4 HaRIbOLZ, seat 6 11Finger
seat 9 EdPeralta.

all the women are gone.

Level 16 3000-6000 500, 25 minutes left
19 players remaining
150 runners 10,000 starting stack
in the money is top 17 players, 2 more to go.

KitsKi in the house (not in the tourney), earlier BryanTD acknowledges his presence and ask everybody to give him ovation for winning the inaugural Sat series 200k event 2 weeks ago.

Floor announced 18 players remaining BUBBLE TIME!

discussion went futile to adjust the champion and runner-up's purse by 5,000 each to provide 10k to bubble boy.

GeneralFilart seated @7 beside nephew 11Finger, raised 20k, next player tanks decides to shoves his 38k of chips.  EdP AJ folds, seat 10 AtoyQ Tens folded.  Hari folds and back to the General who covers the all-in player.  He calls:
General AKo All-in Player QQ
FLOP: 5-3-2
TURN: T
RIVER: 4

Queens no good and the bubble is broken!

Less than a minute to end of level.  10 minutes Break follows.

Level 17 3500-7000 500
17 players remaining
150 runners 10,000 starting stack

Game is on break as bubble burst, expect more intensive action as every one is guaranteed 10,000 pesos, twice the buy-in.  Of course their wish is to win it all tonite and be crowned champion no matter how long it shall take, 225,000 pesos is a lot of money for one day's work!

As expected the first hand after break, table 25.

seat 10 UTG AtoyQ raised 2x to 14k, Hari at seat 4 re raises.  BB Ed Peralta seat 9 decides to risk it all and shoves with less than 30k.  UTG shoves too with less than 70k, Hari without too much thought calls  too.
SHOW CARDS:
EdP 9s7s Atoy AA Hari TT
FLOP: 7d5dKs
TURN: 7c
RIVER: 2s

Miraculously EdP triples up with trips, the UTG Aces who folded his Tens during bubble time (set!) recovered from the side pot.  Hari lost the almost 90k that he (88) sucked out from the General (JJ) when the turn gave him a set 8 earlier.

Not really, his stack is very healthy.  He might file complaint though as he was expecting 100 runners only and foresee the tourney lasting til 4am or later.  Metro Management last night decided to up ante and cap it at higher 150.  A few regretful playerrs were turned away coming late thinking the higher buy-in will not fill up the room.

Level 18 4000-8000 1000 20 minutes left
still 17 players remaining
150 runners 10,000 starting stack

8 players table 25, 9 players table 26

Seat 6 UTG 11Finger raised to 20k, all folds to  seat 2 small stack at button who shoves.  11Finger calls.
SHOW CARDS:
11Finger 44 Button 77
FLOP: 4-A-8
TURN: T
RIVER: T
11Finger's fullhouse sucks out another low stack.

Next hand, seat 7 UTG Gen Filart raises to 20k, folds button Hari at seat 4 who shoves his 40k crippled stack.  The brave general is not backing down.
GenFilart QJo Hari A9o
FLOP: K-x-J
turn and river was lower cards and the great Bolz is OUT!

fast paced as predicted, 13 left. Table 25 7 players, table 26, 6 players

FPT Boss Alan just busted out at unlucky 13th, PocketJoe sitting beside acting with sympathy bade the boss a friendly GOOD GAME tap on the shoulder.

Pocketjoe25 is final table bubble after he calls Jojotech's 22 shove with his A9 at 15k stack.  The same way, Hari and AlanE busted out earlier...A9 no good!

congrats to the dark house atoy and 11finger nicky! not only skill and luck but you need endurance in these tourneys!

atoy is one of metro regulars and gunning a seat to the BMW freeroll, we shall see more of him.  he was the player who folded tens when the low stack on his right shoved queens. the gen's over card ak took care of matter with straight which would have eliminated his SET on turn too!

immediate next hand he survive ACEs suck-out by 9s7s of ED P, via side pot from HARI's TT.

Congrats again 11Finger! maybe you can win more than 125k grinding 14 hours at the VIP BUT many more would be very happy even placing 3rd in this grueling tourney. friendly advice: present your total cash prize (not a check!) to the missus as advance valentine's gift, maybe you will be granted multiple entry visa!

What a GREAT tournament!

Overall, we wish we could end it earlier (imagine turning away 70+ players if we capped it at 100) but poker tournaments seem to have a life of it's own and the play eventually dictates how long it will last. Neil Arce once almost singlehandedly took down a Metro Saturday rebuy tournament by 10PM by having a monster stack and going super aggro busting people left and right.

Maybe next time we will make the levels 20 mins instead of 30? But it's a good problem to have, turning people away. We couldve easily reached a million pesos in the pot if we let people just keep buying in, but that wouldve become a 2-day tournament easily!

Next Saturday, we are back to the 200K for another round of this Saturday Series. See you at The Metro!
If there was no variance, there would be no fish.
