Siyempre not fair, but since it is private property the room can ban any one even if it is only the person's smell that is distasteful.  There are many other rooms welcoming players and not choosy on playing style.

Ha ha oo nga, nag-blind item ka pa don sa poker room, nilagay mo naman sa sub-heading ng South East Asia International Poker Club.

Jigger malapit 'to sa SM Sucat, along Sucat 'to.  Haven't been into it, medyo parang cheesy yong facade, mukhang movie house sa Quiapo yong harap. he he he  Well, dapat nag-pick up na activity dito with the closure of Pocket Aces.

Pagka-double up takbo.

Sa live, matatandaan ka talaga.

If this is true, then htey should be reported to pagcor.

you cannot ban anyone based on how they play, unless they are cheating.

With the closure of pocket aces, this place should, well, follow soon if they keep this up.
If there was no variance, there would be no fish.

maverick's right. there's something patently unfair about being banned for taking the money and running. after all, the house never complains when they take your money and then you run. besides, those wins were legitimately posted. it's not like you had a card-counting system, as in blackjack, to beat the odds.

and what's wrong with playing "para manalo lang"? isn't that what we keep returning to the tables for?

i don't object to the hit and run tactics. pero yan ang problem kung maliit lang yung room and konti lang ang naglalaro. maaalala ng ibang players yon gumagawa nito and won't like to play with them. tapos puedeng maging short handed na yung table, so na hit and run ka na , baka ma break up pa yung table. :P

sa metro ka na lang. masyadong maraming players for it to matter if you leave tables quickly.

^^^ i loled.

back to topic, IMHO it's not a question of fair or unfair.  i mirror welcoat's sentiments that a private establishment can ban whoever the hell they want.  i have heard many stories of people being banned from many card rooms based on the whim of the card room operator - that is their prerogative, based on how they want to protect their business, their clients, their image, etc...  kahit sa metro maraming kwento about banned ex-house players and banned hit and run artists ...lalo na sa bigger tables (konti na lang nga kayo tatakbuhan mo pa yung mesa).  i think if the card room operator feels you are not good for the game, they can do what they have to do to keep their games attractive to the "more important" customers.

just tell your friend to brush up on poker etiquette na lang - he can look for a copy of "Ace on the River" by Barry Greenstein or Phil Gordon's "Lil Black Book" for starters...

to keep coming back, you have to be a good customer, not just a good consumer.

i guess it is a problem if, when you stand up, the table breaks, coz it the only fricking table running.

it's 3pm here at Metro and there are about 12-13 tables running alongside a 5 table tournament. hit and run all you want and no one will care. youll get teased a lot, but that's about it. hehe.

Yes a card room has the right to ban ANYONE for any particular reason they seem fit. But at least have some kind of legitimate reason. Metro has banned people from suspicion of coolusion, chip dumping, chip STEALING, and from being employees of other card rooms. Other than safety and integrity reasons, the rest are business decisions made through careful consideration.

If there was no variance, there would be no fish.

Naisip ko lang, if I was the operator, I would probably ban the person if through his actions, other people are less inclined to play. Parang kung dahil sa pag hit and run niya, mawawalan ng gana yung ibang tao, edi isang tao na lang ang i-ban ko kesa mabawasan ako ng 2 or more customers.

Di nga bawal yung ginagawa niya pero bordering on bastos.

Ok, see how they run....
my advice do it with finesse so Ross won't get mad. Don't be too obvious naman, even when all know what you are trying to do! If anyone dares to ask or comment the obvious, just reply the obvious..."i'm cashing out and not giving you a chance to get it back" as one of my buddy does.

There are other poker rooms to go to.... but I think that's really discrimination.  I really don't think people should be banned based on the personal whim of management.
