ANG GULO!!!!!

Poker Portal Asia live update:

Martin Gonzales started the action, raising from early position to 8000. In the cutoff, Earl Ang makes it 24,000 to go, putting pressure on Gonzales to fold in the hope he doesn’t want to tangle with another big stack at bubble time.

But then came the short-stacked Anton Widjaya who pushed all in for 47,500. After Gonzales folds, Ang is priced in to call and we have a showdown. The pocket eights of Ang are in trouble against Gonzales’ queens.

The flop is no help to Ang’s eights and Gonzales survives the bubble.

ang gulo nga, lalo na tong update na to:

http://www.pokerportal.asia/live-reporting/jaime-camina-out-at-18th-php-68200/

Jaime Camina pushed the last of his chips with Ac 10d and an opponent called with Ks Js

Flop: 3d 4s Kd
Turn: Qc
River: Asp

With that, our first player in the last eighteen is busted out.

pano nanalo ang KJ sa A10 on that board?

meron pa

http://www.pokerportal.asia/live-reporting/manuel-regis-out-at-13th-php-79600/

Two early position players plus the button and small blind were in a 48,000 pot as the man from the big blind, called his last 9,000 (“pot odds,” he said.)
Flop: 8h 9s 10c
Turn: 7d
River: Jd
It was checked all the way to the river as Manel Regis from the small blind showed Kh Qh for the straight. Everyone mucked and Manuel Regis is out of the tournament.

kala ko tumama sya ng straight tapos nag muck lahat, bakit sya ang na-out?

much better if they tie up with pokermanila. but not to demean the PP guys, maybe it's just that they knew little about the game (asking wally sombero "what's your name sir?" WHAAAAT) or they're not properly trained.

Live reporting is indeed prone to errors, our PM coverage team have had lots of it, from typo error to wrong grammar. But as what my editor/mentor kept on reminding me before, you should never sacrifice accuracy for speed.

Editor? hmmmm I don't think I'm qualified to be as such. I still visit English 101 from time to time.

It's a sin to hire live reporters "...knew little about the game" unless she is young and pretty, as for not recognizing some players it is forgivable especially final table virgins but never never MR. SOMBERO(NOT RECOGNIZING HIM MEANS NOT KNOWING ENOUGH ABOUT POKER IN PHILIPPINES).  On other hand, i won't mind bad grammar or typos (it can always be edited) but yes accuracy should be primary concern, i don't ever want to be busted pre-maturely nor getting FH and busted by flush or straight.

PS: Our friends read PM,
