sa metro meron dalawang magkaibigan who are trash talking each other. it was entertaining at the start but soon became annoying.

It's not cool to see one player telling another, his friend or otherwise "don't try me boy" or "di mo ba kilala kung sino ako"

1. that because kung silang dalawa lang palagi then of course it becomes nothing more than 2 people exchanging slapstick.

2. and there was no way to end the insults. hence dapat magakaroon ng way to declare a champion between them.

IMO, Ang magiging problema sa 2 HPs na gagawa ng drama ay people will think that masyado silang chummy they must be colluding despite the catfight. Tapos siempre yung ibang HPs or friends nila will hang out near the table makikinood at lalong gugulo. So those that just wants to play lalong madidismaya.

I was there nung one time nagkaroon ng gulo sa royal flush. Two tables lang nag away pa yung isa. Nagtayuan na yung mga tao. Security and management did not handle that well. They should have kicked out one or both of the protagonists. They did neither. Hindi tumigil ang ingay. Alisan na lang.

It think it's about time that the poker rooms spend money on real advertising. Bringing it out on the open sells it's legitimacy to the masses. Hindi enough yung picture or blurb here and there that is easy to miss. Big splashy advertising dapat. Like RW's billboards, bus posters and newspaper ads but, of course, in a proportional scale. Don't spend as much since the potential income will never match.

Kahit siguro yung mga online coupon deals puedeng patulan. Buy a coupon for P250 for P500 worth of chips that needs to be played for min of 2hours or something like that.

Basta get the branding out there. Having a facebook page is not enough. YUng FB kailangan puntahan. Dapat yung ad/poker room name ang lumapit sa potential new players.

Kahit sa poker centric forum na lang like pokermanila, yung mas visible na rooms will obvioulsy get people to try them out kaysa duon sa mga wala ka-bali-balita at all. Either from co players or from the room personnel, does not matter. As long as it's there.

i think cash or tourney still the same effect. madami diyan who would just like to play. talking to other people is just a bonus. kung magiging magulo lang wag na lang.

I was using the forum as an example of the poker room coming to the people first as opposed to hoping the people will come to them without any foreknowledge about what happening.

That's the easy part already for the poker room, gathered into one forum are poeple arleady open to the idea of playing poker. That's the first step. The next step is to get people who aren't thinking about playing to start and do it in their room. My point being it is still needed to preach to the choir along with the gallery. And yet, some of them still don't make the effort to come to the poeple.

when i say gulo. gulo naman kasi may level yan eh. may gulo na bawal at may gulo na for fun lang.

kasi im just looking from outside the box. hell anybody who has played with me knows magulo sa table ang pusa pag nagtritrip. but i know the rules. yeah sometimes people hate me but sometimes people find it amusing.

example sa midas.
one player went all in bubble time. the other player was thinking of calling. may nag comment tapos pinagsabihan nung dealer.

e di kumanta na lang ako

tinging sa akin yung dealer. sabi ko "bakit kumakanta lang naman ako ah" even the song itself was not implying anything. the whole table laugh at it

but back to the topic.

yes the limit can be exploited and exploiting the limits is what this thread is all about. but having big billboards wont do any good. connecting to the people is what makes it work. get the people to identify with the person makes a good poster.


as for the forum.
bahhhhhh. that topic kasi arize from a  simple argument kasi eh. i believe that a forum should be a forum. it where usefull information are paste. if we post only the results of the ending. its boring. you will not get people to sign up.

there has to be something more to it.

i mean come on metro already had poster there and everywhere. but pm is still pm. would making a bigger poster attract the current players of metro to sign up? doubt it.

send me to the metro and a laptop. give me enough funds and i can pretty much get a lot of the metro players to sign up. ill hop from one table to another at mangugulo lang ako.

nak ng pating baka naman sabihin nyo naman nagaaply ako sa pm maging hp nila ha. im not. its an example.

pwede tong gawin bilang add on sa tournament. one champion is declared. which for this example is me.
tapos nun. we declare a king

the winner of a tournament reserve the right to challenge the current king.
the challenge is a race to 3 tournament where the current king has a +1 advantage.

if natalo yung king. babayaran yung challenger and he is now declared the new king.(let say 1k?)
if nanalo ang king. he gets the 80% of the money. 20% is added to the pot until the end of the month. (so lumalaki yung bounty niya).

again this idea is an add on to tournament to avoid competing in pot sizes. giving more add on. if ikaw kasi yung maging hari. there a huge advantage kasi you can earn per day.

the challenger much be the current winner of a daily tournament.

ill post here why i will never ever be a high paid consultant. mew mew mew. actually alam ko naman why eh.

because of my own personality why it will never ever happen. 

because i never ever played politics.

example binara ko ng husto dalawang tao sa isang poker house. nyahahaha. and they where top people.

paano ba naman they would have this x guaranteed tournament. kita ko na agad na malaki na naman overlay. to make the story short. they could have lessen the guaranteed by 10k. and it would still attract the same number of people. there would have been no difference. except saving the poker house money.

every time it is the poker hour in manila nagtatago yung dalawa sa office coming up with bright(sic) ideas to attract people. you are not even connecting with your players. how the hell would they know what the people want?

they only come out when there is a big game kasi stake sila ng house.

at this point "naiingit lang ang pusa kaya lakas niya magsalita". (pfffftttt people always assume stupid things).

the reason i hate it is because i see they order expensive food for themselves they just cost that poker house money  and when i ask directly the dealer "kawawa na naman kayo no."

sagot ng dealer "oo nga eh. food namin ngayon ay isang maliit na isda" inilustrate pa yung size ng isda. which was small.

hence i created this thread and post from time to time my crazy ideas. even when i got flamed and all and people assuming na i just wanted to be a consultant for a poker house.

i created this thread because i know i will never be that consultant. i just do not like playing politics. but if i post it here and people that read it who has the power of influencing poker house owners to use the strategies. maybe it will change things.

a stable poker house so dealers can have a stable job.
