SERVING SOON: Dirty Ice Cream Cup 2012

It’s happening once again! After the successful staging last year, players from all over the places will descend once again to the much awaited Dirty Ice Cream Cup 2012. Asia’s biggest poker room – the Metro Card Club has announced that it is all set to happen on March 15–20, 2012. Over the last two years, the tournament has been constantly growing with better and tempting prize pool. This year, DICC is on its sweetest return with a bigger guaranteed prize of Php 5 million.

Renowned poker player and also Metro Card Club’s very own, Neil Arce was the man behind every scoopful of sweet dirty ice cream idea. In celebration of his birthday, DICC has been a tradition for poker players for over the last six years. Neil once shared how it all started, quoted, “The DICC basically started when poker wasn’t too big here in the Philippines around six years ago. It was in my house, actually. I just invited people for a poker tournament for my birthday. This was when there was no poker at all in the country except for home games. So we did a tournament at my house with no rake and a group of 50 people and that’s how it started.”

The Dirty Ice Cream Cup has increased from last year’s buy-in to Php 10,000. However, FREE SEATS are being given away everywhere; TV, Twitter and on Radio shows. The Metro Card Club has also been running satellites within their daily tournaments for a chance to get seats to the DICC.
