OP, no offense but maybe you should acquire the skill and/or initiative to learn things on your own first. Learning to type some keywords into google search box shall help you improve your game more than anything else.

We are plagued with downright laziness that we always want everything to be handed down to us in a silver platter. There really is no reason for not being able to learn these concepts on your own. Search and you shall find.

If our community dream to someday be able to compete in the top levels, we shall not tolerate this behavior. I am just saying this as I see it.

But isn't that what forums are for ? They're a form of curated search engine... rather than wade thru all the noise of "relevant searches" why not ask people you know KNOWS the info ?

Pretty sure we can put our heads together to write a Sticky for this topic. Saves the noobs like me the trouble of having to bother the regs, and saves the regs the time to have to do it over and over again. Also gives the forum more valuable material that people will want to access. Sorta like what 2+2 has come to be known for.

i get you din nicky. pero sometimes naman some people ask the most basic questions. so basic that you will never go wrong with google. i guess you never got a call at 10 in the morning asking for stuff that google is more fit to answer.

Q's like what OP posted, im more than willing to answer. pero Q's like "what is pokertracker's website?"

:D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :) :D :)

okay, im gonna use it na! WPP!!

[/quote]

No, I cannot disagree more.

A forum in the real world is defined as:

1. a meeting or assembly for the open discussion of subjects of public interest

You don't go into a forum looking for a lecture. You go in there to have a discussion. Like for example, you don't go to the Annual convention for poker players in Vegas and expect people there to teach you what is a range? Why should it be balanced? What is blah blah blah yala yala yala. All these information are already available to those who seek. CONVENIENTLY.

There is merit in learning to "waive through the noise" acquiring this skill would be the most +EV thing OP can learn for his poker game.
If no one tolerates this laziness then no one would be lazy. And then maybe we can start to build a forum with a little more valuable content. Something with a little substance.

Maybe, just maybe, one day we as a nation can have what the Scandinavians have. A community where everyone participates in bringing their level of play constantly on the highest possible levels.

If we keep entertaining questions which others have already answered a gazillion times before, then what "value" do we add to this community? To this site? To the home of Philippine and Asia poker? none. Unless this is ok, if so then whats the difference between this site and the "OTHER" one?
