4 days nalng im off to canada. tapos na 2 months vacation ko sa US. i can play online poker again. yey for me...

live poker is so different here in the US, different casino different rules and rake. but i understand now about how bad philippine rake is compared to all the casino and poker rooms i played here (total of ... oh well...

So what, out of curiousity, would "better trained personnel" have called/decided on that particular incident ? Granted that the decision made was by the book (considering the shove was out of turn when the action wasn't completed yet, and that both a 600 pesos and 6,000 pesos raise are valid moves in a 100/200 game), would "better trained personnel" have called OTHERWISE in the opposite? Wouldn't the other party then have a MORE valid grievance/complaint?

Just throwing these thoughts back to the forum since basically unfair criticism is now being levelled on employees of Midas who most likely have made the best possible decision in this situation, and criticism as well on the capacity and competence of Midas in this "tough" industry.

on a pot of 10k, a bet or raise of 6 should NEVER BE CONSTRUED as 600 pesos bet/raise amount.  THE 'by the book' decision especially after another's not in play comment and involvement should be taken as evidence of further angle shooting by savior buddy.  It is CLEARLY not the INTENT of player to bet or raise 600 only and should not be taken for GRANTED(by past gratitudes?).  The better trained personnel would have made different judgement had he or she been IMPARTIAL.  better trained could also mean more educated and less biased but not necessarily chief justice (who can also be biased in the philippines) qualification.  i hope ms. m was not the one who made ruling she was one of my favorite dealer at ACF before.

ACTING out of turn can be penalized by warning (or orbits in tourney).

that F#@%*^% LOL...every competent personnel should know that chips don't have to cross the line for a bet/call/raise to be considered binding.

not to fan the flame but there was an incident, which I already posted way back, where during the satellite for APT Macau, PLAYER A and PLAYER B saw the for heads up. First to act Player A checked, Player B then loudly said "twenty thousand" But before pushing the chips into the middle, Player A announced "all-in". Player B immediately mucked and said "oops di ko pa pinapasok chips ko" The floor was called and he ruled that Player B's bet was not binding.

BTW, panu ba maging floor? is being a dealer for 3, 4, 5 enough to promote somebody to that position?

Bourne Legacy Shooting in Metro Manila
MMDA chairman revealed over the news that the fourth installment of the Hollywood film "Bourne Legacy" will be shot over 8 locations in Metro Manila. The film stars Jeremy Renner as the new CIA agent Aaron Cross, subbing for Matt Damon, who has starred in the first three installments. It will also star A-list celebrities Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton.

According to Chairman Francis Tolentino, the film will be shot in Intramuros, Navotas fishport, Marikina City Market, San Andres Market, R. Magsaysay Blvd, Ayala Avenue, Nagtahan and Pasay-Taft Rotonda. Among these places, Pasay-Taft Rotonda was highlighted to need the biggest facelift. Everyday commuters and motorist would attest to the fact that this area is a cause of headache during rush hour, add to that the fact that it's very crowded. Ironically, this area will be used for a car chase scene. I'm sure it's better to just leave the car and run after the criminals.

UPDATE: There are also reports that Bourne Legacy will shoot in Palawan. There will also be a motorcycle chase scene in Jones Bridge and a helicopter scene over Pasig River.

Bourne Legacy Shooting in Metro Manila
MMDA chairman revealed over the news that the fourth installment of the Hollywood film "Bourne Legacy" will be shot over 8 locations in Metro Manila. The film stars Jeremy Renner as the new CIA agent Aaron Cross, subbing for Matt Damon, who has starred in the first three installments. It will also star A-list celebrities Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton.

According to Chairman Francis Tolentino, the film will be shot in Intramuros, Navotas fishport, Marikina City Market, San Andres Market, R. Magsaysay Blvd, Ayala Avenue, Nagtahan and Pasay-Taft Rotonda. Among these places, Pasay-Taft Rotonda was highlighted to need the biggest facelift. Everyday commuters and motorist would attest to the fact that this area is a cause of headache during rush hour, add to that the fact that it's very crowded. Ironically, this area will be used for a car chase scene. I'm sure it's better to just leave the car and run after the criminals.

UPDATE: There are also reports that Bourne Legacy will shoot in Palawan. There will also be a motorcycle chase scene in Jones Bridge and a helicopter scene over Pasig River.
